DAWSON HOUSE

1,100 SF Urban Remodel  •  2014

Photography: Dror Baldinger, FAIA

Contractor: Long House Builders

"The renovated home demonstrates how, with thoughtful and meticulous detail, a small and forgotten structure can be transformed into a lasting structure"
-Angela Rabke, Home Design & Decor

The Dawson Home is a small 1920's bungalow, brought back to life with resourcefulness and care. The simple form of the original structure lends itself to passive ventilation and balanced daylight. The original longleaf pine was carefully harvested, re-finished and re-repurposed as furniture, countertops, flooring and siding throughout the home.
